Hi all,

Here are this week’s recommendations :
Fringe : (Series, Amazon Prime, 5 seasons, 45-50 mins per episode)
This has to be one of the most underrated TV Show. This science fiction show is highly engaging and has numerous twists and turns. Starts as case of the week kind of show but by the end of season 1 the longer arc is established and it blows your mind with it. Here is the season 1 trailer.
The Judge : (Movie, Netflix, 142 minutes)
Movies set in small town america is a genre I like a lot. This is essentially from the same genre despite having a court case at the center. The legal part of the movie is not its strength, the performances are. Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall both are in terrific form here. This qualifies as the perfect lazy weekend watch. Trailer here.
True Detective S1 & S3 : (Series, Hotstar, 8 episodes per season, 55 mins)
If you have seen season 1 and liked it, you will like season 3 too. And if you haven’t seen the show yet, just get into it. You can skip season 2 though. Here is season 3 trailer.
Air Force One : (Movie, Hotstar, 124 minutes)
This action thriller set in a plane still holds up almost 25 years later. No doubt it is over the top but it knows what it is trying to do and does it very well. Trailer here.
Only Desi Revisits : (Youtube channel)
The hilarious movie revisits of this channel are addictive. you won’t be able to stop at one. Here is the link to Maine Pyar Kiya revisit.
Pagglait : (Movie, Netflix, 115 minutes)
This is a simple sweet movie with a novel story line and some superb performances, specially by Sanya Malhotra and Ashutosh Rana. It could have etched out the characters and situations a bit more, however despite that it is a very entertaining watch. Trailer here.
